CALGARY, Alberta (Ticker) -- Singor Mobley scored on a 44-yard interception return and linebacker Grant Carter returned a fumble 22 yards for a touchdown as the Edmonton Eskimos won the "Battle of Alberta," 30-18 over the Calgary Stampeders. Mobley's return came on one of five interceptions thrown by Troy Kopp. It gave Edmonton (6-3) a 12-0 lead just 92 seconds into the second quarter. Carter scored with 1:43 to go before halftime and extended the advantage to 19-2. Sean Fleming kicked two field goals and recorded three singles, while Nealon Greene threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Kez McCorvey for the Eskimos, who have won six of their last seven games. Greene completed only 10-of-22 passes for 117 yards. Mark Nohra led Edmonton by rushing for 143 yards on 17 carries. Kopp was 26-of-47 for 339 yards, including a three-yard scoring toss to Marc Boerigter early in the third quarter. Calgary (6-2-1) climbed within 19-18 on Mark McLoughlin's third straight field goal, a 26-yarder early in the final period. But Greene responded with his short scoring pass to McCorvey as the Eskimos extended their lead in the Labor Day series with their provincial archrivals to 22-15-1.
