CLIFTON, N.J. -- Tennessee punter Craig Hentrich and Carolina fullback Chris Hetherington shot 2-over 74s on Friday to lead 12 players into the final round of the NFL players' portion of the Cadillac NFL Classic.

Tennessee kicker Al Del Greco, the defending champion and a five-time winner of the event, easily qualified for the championship round, where the best final 18-hole score wins.

Del Greco shot a 77 on Friday on the Upper Montclair Country Club course, the fourth best score among the 26 players who advanced to the third round.

Atlanta quarterback Danny Kanell was third with a 76.

Hetherington and Hentrich each had five bogeys and three birdies on the tight, tree-lined 6,816-yard course.

Brian Kinchen, the Carolina tight end who shared the 36-hole lead with Hentrich, also qualified with a 79.
