It's a new course, new sponsor and a new tournament, but the Electrolux USA Championship is actually carrying on the tradition of golf in Tennessee.

The Sara Lee Classic took place for 12 years at Hermitage Golf Club in Old Hickory, Tenn., but the run ended last year when Meg Mallon won the title for the third time.

Electrolux USA stepped in as the new sponsor and singers, golf fanatics and newlyweds Vince Gill and Amy Grant jumped in as tournament hosts, keeping the LPGA in Tennessee.

Mallon will be on hand this week when the tournament moves to the Legends Club of Tennessee, and she'll have plenty of company.

At the top of the list is Karrie Webb, who slipped away from the LPGA Tour last week for a trip to Japan and -- what else -- a victory at the Nichirei Cup. It was the sixth win of the year for Webb, who has also has a victory in Australia and four official LPGA Tour wins to her credit.

Webb will be seeking her 10th consecutive top-10 finish in an LPGA Tour event, just four shy of the all-time record set by Hall of Famer Pat Bradley in 1991.

Laura Davies, who joined Webb as the only multiple winners on the tour this year with a victory at last week's Philips Invitational, is not in the field this week. But six of the other top-10 players on the season money list are in the field. Juli Inkster, Charlotta Sorenstam, Carin Koch, Sherri Steinhauer, Lorie Kane and Michele Redman will battle for the title.

Also in the field is Nancy Lopez, who is putting off gall bladder surgery to play another event.

The tournament could come down to birdie opportunities on the closing holes at the Legends Club, which features three opportunities on the final three holes. No. 16 is a short par-3, while No. 17 is a short par-4 where position is the key. The finishing hole continues the parade of short holes, a reachable par-5 at just 469 yards.

Next week, the tour heads to Ohio for the Firstar LPGA Classic where Rosie Jones will defend, then Kelli Kuehne makes her first title defense at the Corning Classic in New York.
