Forest Hills Country Club was a great venue for the Michelob Light Classic, but most of the field must be thrilled that the tournament has found a new home this season.

Nothing against the old course, but players have to feel they have a better chance at beating Annika Sorenstam someplace else.

To say Sorenstam has dominated the tournament at Forest Hills would be an understatement. She won four of the past five years, including the past three seasons. And she's done it in every way possible: runaways, come-from-behind wins, playoffs, rain-shortened.

Last year, Sorenstam caught Tina Barrett on Sunday to finish at 10-under, then beat in sudden death. That gave her three straight Michelob titles, one shy of the LPGA record for most times winning the same event. Laura Davies holds that mark, winning the Standard Register Ping four consecutive years.

If Sorenstam is to match Davies' mark, she'll have to do it on a much different course. Fox Run is slightly longer and features wider landing areas from the tees. But as Sorenstam has proven over the years, any venue is good for a player with the irons and short game she possesses.

Sorenstam already has five wins this season, but so does Karrie Webb, and she is in the Michelob Light field. Among Webb's victories are two majors -- the Nabisco Championship and the U.S. Women's Open.

Also in the field is Dorothy Delasin, who won last week's Giant Eagle Classic in a playoff over Pat Hurst. At 19, she became the youngest winner of an LPGA Tour event in 25 years.

The Michelob Light is the final tuneup before the final major of 2000 -- the du Maurier Classic -- which will be played next week at the Royal Ottawa Golf Club in Quebec.
