British invader Morshdi (9-2) rained on the German parade at Baden-Baden, with a
sharp score in the $745,000, Group 1 Grosser Preis von Baden.
The Michael Jarvis-trained Morshdi defeated German Derby winner Boreal by 1 1/4
lengths with the Andreas Wohler-trained 2-1 choice Sabiango another 1 1/2 lengths
back in third.
The victory in this, the fourth leg of the Emirates World Series, puts Morshdi in a
four-way tie for the lead in the series - with Galileo, Captain Steve, and Silvano,
each with 12 points.
* In Ireland, Aidan O'Brien chalked up his 14th Group 1 win of the year, as Quarter
Moon took the Moyglare Stud Stakes for juvenile fillies by three-quarters of a
length from Dress to Thrill at the Curragh.
