PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island (Ticker) -- The Providence Bruins ended an eight-game losing streak with a 2-1 victory over the Hartford Wolf Pack as Mark DeSantis scored 59 seconds into overtime. Ken Tasker had the other goal for the defending Calder Cup champions, who made the playoffs with a 32-42-6 record. Davis Brumby made 33 saves for Providence, which had not won since March 22. Brad Smyth scored his 39th goal and Jean-Francois Labbe stopped 28 shots for the playoff-bound Wolf Pack, who closed the season with three straight losses.
