KANSAS CITY, Missouri (Ticker) -- Dody Wood scored the tie-breaking goal midway through the third period as the Kansas City Blades snapped the Chicago Wolves' six-game win streak with a 4-3 victory. Wood netted his first goal in nine games against Chicago 9:15 into the final stanza. Jason Cirone's goal with 4:05 left in the first capped a 6:53 span in which Kansas City scored three times. Bruce Racine turned away 30 shots for the Blades, who also snapped the Wolves' 12-game winning streak with a 5-3 victory back on March 18th. Steve Maltais tied the score at 3-3 with 4:34 remaining in the second period for Chicago, which has lost just twice since February 25 (18-2-0).
