WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (Ticker) -- Corey Hirsch made 18 saves and Dave Archibald scored a shorthanded goal as the Utah Grizzlies blanked the Houston Aeros, 2-0. Hirsch had to stop only five shots in the first and third periods en route to his second shutout of the season. Archibald opened the scoring with 8:02 left in the first and Ted Crowley added an insurance goal in the third for Utah, which posted its second shutout victory in as many nights. Tom Askey turned away 17 shots for Houston, which lost for only the third time in 12 games (7-3-2).
