MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- Fred Knipscheer scored the deciding
shootout goal to give the Milwaukee Admirals a 5-4 victory over
the Cleveland Lumberjacks. Knipscheer, who opened the scoring 25
seconds into the contest, beat goaltender Ian Gordon in the 11th
round of the shootout as Milwaukee avenged a 3-1 loss to
Cleveland on Wednesday. Ryan Tobler scored back-to-back goals
midway through the first period for the Admirals and Mike Buzak
stopped 22 shots in regulation and 9-of-11 in the shootout for
his first win of the season. Jeff Christian recorded a hat
trick, including a pair of goals in the final minute of
regulation, to force the extra session for the Lumberjacks.
Gordon made 21 saves for Cleveland, which has just one win in
its last five games (1-2-2).
