GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan (Ticker) -- Derek King scored twice in regulation and Travis Richards notched the decisive shootout goal as the Grand Rapids Griffins claimed their fifth straight win, 4-3 over the Cincinnati Cyclones. King scored 4:32 into the second period to get Grand Rapids within 3-2, then netted the equalizer with 6:57 left in the third. Mike Fountain stopped 19 shots in regulation and 3-of-5 shootout attempts for the Griffins, who won for the ninth time in 10 games. Todd Simon opened the scoring midway through the first period and got the first shootout goal for Cincinnati, which fell to 1-6-2 against the Griffins this season.
