CLEVELAND (Ticker) -- Gilbert Dionne scored in the fifth round
of the shootout, lifting the Cincinnati Cyclones to a 5-4
victory over the Cleveland Lumberjacks. Dionne also assisted on
Erik Cole's goal at 8:02 of the third period. Shane Willis
scored his 35th goal of the season with 7:13 remaining in
regulation to tie the game for Cincinnati. Ian MacNeil also
scored in the third period for the Cyclones, who trailed
Cleveland 4-1 entering the final period. Pat MacLeod scored in
the shootout and Alex Westund, making his debut in goal for
Cincinnati, stopped four shots in the extra period to improve
the Cyclones' shootout record to 11-8. Sean Berens scored two
goals and Jeff Christian added a goal and an assist for
Cleveland, which had its three game winning streak snapped. Ian
Gordon made 37 saves, but yielded two shootout goals in a losing
effort.
