OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- UCLA pitcher Keira Goerl helped the No. 1 Bruins to a five win week with her exceptional efforts in the circle. After 22.1 innings, a no-hitter, and 25 strikeouts, the junior from Moreno Valley, Calif., was selected by the Amateur Softball Association, the National Governing Body of Softball in the United States, as the Player of the Week for the week of March 24-30.

"Keira did an excellent job of leading us in the circle last week," said UCLA head coach Sue Enquist. "She did a great job of getting ahead of the batters and she combined that with great defense.
