OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- After a 5-0 week against No. 8 Cal State Fullerton, No. 9 Stanford, and No. 6 California, the Bruins of UCLA remain No. 1 for the week of March 31 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate top 25 poll. Receiving all 18 first place votes, the Bruins improved to 31-2 overall and 3-0 in the Pac-10 Conference. The Bulldogs of Georgia entered the top ten for the first time this year at No. 9 with a record of 36-5, while Stanford drops out of the top ten to No. 11. The biggest move of the week was from Iowa who debuted in the poll at No. 21 after capturing six Big 10 Conference wins this past week. Oregon State fell three spots to No. 24 after five-straight losses while Northwestern dropped from the top 25 ranks. The ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 poll is voted on by NCAA Division I coaches representing 15 different ASA regions and 12 different collegiate conferences. The poll is also voted on by selected softball media members. Records are as of March 30th. First-place votes are in parentheses.
