| INDIANAPOLIS -- Three Indianapolis Colts were fined $5,000
each by the NFL for excessive celebrations during Monday night's
victory over Buffalo.
Mustafah Muhammad, Jeff Burris and Jason Belser were each fined
for their action in the 44-20 victory, which kept the Colts'
playoff hopes alive.
The celebration occurred after Muhammad intercepted a Rob
Johnson pass and returned it 40 yards for a touchdown to make it
37-20. It was Muhammad's first interception.
Following the return, Muhammad, Burris and Belser formed a
semicircle and danced together.
"It takes the fun out of the game," said Muhammad, who was
making his first start. "We've been playing the game all of our
lives, and now everything is so sanctioned, you can't really do
anything. It's an emotional sport, we had lost three straight games
and we were feeling it.
"It wasn't something that we practiced."
Muhammad made one start in his rookie season but had seen
primarily special teams duty this season until replacing Tyrone
Poole in the starting lineup. | ALSO SEE
