Lerner upbeat after brain surgery

CLEVELAND -- Cleveland Browns owner Al Lerner met with coaches and players at the team's practice facility Friday, just a few days after having brain surgery.

While in the passenger seat of a car as he was preparing to leave, the 68-year-old billionaire made a few brief comments, but did not discuss his hospital stay.

"I feel great," Lerner said. "I feel terrific. There's absolutely nothing wrong. Part of the problem of the ownership position of a football team is that everything gets blown out of proportion. I'm here because I belong here. This is where I count."

Lerner had the operation Monday, a day after being admitted to the Cleveland Clinic with flu-like symptoms. He reportedly had a tumor removed.
