The Giants believe they've found the big back to bore holes through NFC East defenses, but is there enough mileage left in the legs of the NCAA's all-time leading rusher? The Giants chose the Heisman Trophy winner with the 12th overall pick instead of Shaun Alexander (who may have been a better fit for Jim Fassel's offense) with the intention of getting the 258-pounder 25 carries a game. Dayne, however, has yet to show he can consistently run over linebackers as he did in college. He will be involved in the passing game as well. Problem is, he caught just one pass at Wisconsin last year.
