Esther Kim was scheduled to fight her friend Kay Poe during a match in the Taekwondo Olympic trials in Colorado Springs, Colo., in May. The winner earned a spot on the Olympic team and a trip to Sydney. Poe was injured, so Kim forfeited her match so her friend would have the chance to win gold in Sydney. It will be the first time Taekwondo has ever been an Olympic sport.
