DALLAS (AP) -- Jason Kreis scored the tiebreaking goal in the
89th minute, and Ronnie O'Brien added a goal a minute later as the
Dallas Burn beat the Chicago Fire 3-1 Saturday night.
The Burn (9-5-7) ended Zach Thornton's 262-minute shutout streak
and beat the Fire (8-9-4) for the sixth straight time.
Kreis scored his 13th goal of the season on a pass from Ryan
Suarez. Ronald Cerritos also got an assist.
In the 90th minute, O'Brien dribbled more than 30 yards
downfield, faking several defenders along the way, to score from
inside the box.
Dallas' Oscar Pareja scored his first goal of the season 25
minutes in with a 25-yard shot from just in front of the goal.
Chicago's Hristo Stoitchkov tied it with a 25-yard shot from the
left side of the goal in the 64th minute.
In the second half, Dallas had six shots on goal and Chicago had
only one.
