How quickly things change in match play. The Motorola Showdown at Sherwood is tied after four holes.
Tiger began the par-5, 541-yard Hole 4 with a 3-wood. And so did Duval. They landed nearby each other, but their second shots differed greatly. Duval, from about 289 yards away on his second shot, landed in the bunker once again while using a 3-wood. From about 284 yards away, also with a 3-wood, Tiger's second shot landed three or four yards off the green. The crowd's screams of "Tiger" began to grow now hole-by-hole. On Duval's second shot from the bunker, he hit it on the green and about 15 feet from the pin. Tiger also used a sand wedge to land closer to the pin, however. Duval narrowly missed his birdie putt, making him 0-2 in sand saves in the competition. Tiger birdied the 4-foot putt to even the competition.
