OKLAHOMA CITY (Ticker) -- Gary Matthews legged out an RBI triple to highlight a two-run eighth inning and Phillip Norton tossed seven strong innings as the Iowa Cubs downed the Oklahoma Redhawks, 5-3. Matthews, who also doubled, brought home Cole Liniak to give Iowa a 4-2 lead and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Jose Molina . Norton (2-2) yielded two runs and five hits to pick up the win. Mike Heathcott recorded his first save despite allowing a run in the ninth inning for the Cubs, who won for just the third time in 13 road games. Chris Hatcher had three hits, including a first-inning RBI single, for the Cubs. Tony Mounce (0-1) allowed one run and one hit in an inning's work to take the loss. R.A. Dickey started for Oklahoma and allowed two runs and seven hits over six innings. Edwin Diaz led off the first inning with a home run for Redhawks, who had their four-game winning streak snapped.
