TACOMA, Washington (Ticker) -- Bo Porter capped a three-run top of the ninth inning with a two-run single as the Sacramento River Cats extended its winning streak to seven games with a 5-2 victory over the Tacoma Rainiers. Porter lengthened his hitting streak to 13 games with his single, staking Sacramento to a 5-1 lead. A.J. Hinch snapped a 1-1 tie with an RBI single in the top of the eighth inning for the River Cats, who have won 12 of their last 14 games. Danny Ardoin went 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles to extend his hitting streak to 11 games for Sacramento. Will Brunson (3-0) retired the two batters he faced to post the win and Scott Service came on to record a strikeout and a groundout in the ninth for his fourth save. Chad Alexander and Willie Bloomquist both knocked in a run for Tacoma, which has lost three of its last five home games. Jordan Zimmerman (0-1) surrendered an unearned run, a hit and a walk in an inning's work to suffer the loss. Ryan Anderson started for the Rainiers and fanned 10 batters, including the first four he faced, and allowed a run and five hits over five innings.
