WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (Ticker) -- Corey Hirsch turned away 27 shots for his second consecutive shutout as the Utah Grizzlies blanked the Kansas City Blades, 3-0. Hirsch made 18 saves in a 2-0 whitewash of Houston on April 5. Mick Vukota broke a scoreless deadlock 1:54 into the third period. Jarrod Skalde made it 2-0 before John Purves scored into an empty net with 12 seconds remaining for Utah, which peppered Bruce Racine with 20 shots in the final period. Racine finished with 42 saves for the Blades, who have lost four of their last five games.
