Miguel Tejada
Like the Energizer bunny, Miguel Tejada just keeps going and going and going ...The Orioles shortstop hasn't missed a game since May 31, 2000 (with Oakland) and is the active leader in consecutive games played at 918. It is the longest active streak in the majors, the seventh-longest of all time, and the longest in the majors since Cal Ripken's 2,632-game streak began in 1982.
If Tejada plays in the first 82 games of the 2006 season, he will become the seventh player ever to play in 1,000 consecutive games.
But it will be awhile before he catches the Iron Man. Tejada would have to not miss a game until 2016 to approach Ripken's all-time record.
