Ichiro
Just call Ichiro the Gardener -- because all he does is rake. The Japanese supernova has had at least 200 hits in each of his five major-league seasons, while posting a .332 batting average.Ichiro is the first player ever to collect 200 hits per season over his first five years in the league and just the sixth to do so five consecutive times at any point in his career -- joining Willie Keeler (eight straight, 1894-1901), Wade Boggs (seven, 1983-89), Chuck Klein (1929-33), Al Simmons (1929-33) and Charlie Gehringer (1933-37).
With another 200-hit campaign this summer, Ichiro would be one such season short of tying Wade Boggs' modern-day record.
