Pedro Martinez

Not counting Roger Clemens (341 career wins), six active pitchers have won 200 or more games: Greg Maddux (318), Tom Glavine (275), Randy Johnson (263), Mike Mussina (224), David Wells (227) and Jamie Moyer (205). Looking to join the club are Pedro Martinez (197), Curt Schilling (192) and Kenny Rogers (190).

But 200 wins does not guarantee a ticket to Cooperstown. While every 300-game winner (besides Clemens and Maddux) is in the Hall of Fame, 59 pitchers with 200 or more wins are without plaques.

Rings strengthen the case for immortality. That's good news for some -- Glavine, Wells, Unit, Pedro and Schilling all have at least one -- but Moyer, Mussina and Rogers are still searching for their first.

Will any of them reach the promised land this season? Time will tell if it's the year of the Mariners, Yankees, Tigers or another champion.

200 career victories

There are 105 players who have reached the 200-win mark. Of those, 46 are in the Hall. Twenty are 300-game winners. And Rube Marquard has the fewest wins of any pitcher in the 200 club in Cooperstown (201).
