Page 2's Power Poll dares to rate the teams that are currently wielding the most power in the entire sports universe.

Each week, our poll will rate the 10 teams at the top of the power heap -- and the five teams that have lost the most power in the past week. And, by the way, Page 2 uses its own definition for a "team" -- any group of two or more bonded together for the common purpose.

Our Momentum Meter also predicts the direction these teams will be heading in future weeks (see the bottom of the page for a full explanation).

1. All golfers not named Tiger Woods	Robert Allenby, 7-0 in playoffs worldwide, beats biggest playoff field in PGA history to become ninth different winner on Tour's West Coast swing.


2. UCLA men's hoops	Seven-game winning streak means Lavin no longer has to listen to taunting chants of "Rick-Pi-Ti-No."


3. Page 2 jinx	In last week's poll, we put our hex on Kentucky and Iowa State men's hoops and Sixers. You could be next.


4. Colorado Avalanche	Coasting on autopilot, Avs are 5-1-1 in last seven.


5. Ghosts of NBC's prime-time past	After record-low XFL ratings, "Titans," "The Michael Richards Show" and "Cursed" don't look quite so bad.


6. Dale Earnhardt Inc.	Proved worthy of The Intimidator's name by winning season's first two races.


7. Stanford men's hoops	Unhyped and largely unnoticed, Cardinal has emerged as clear No. 1.


8. Detroit Red Wings	Unbeaten in last 12 (10-0-2), Wings have overtaken hobbled Blues in Central.


9. Milwaukee Bucks	Stumbled in Indiana after winning five straight, but still a distraction in Sixers' rear-view mirror.

10. Returning Knicks heroes	Garden faithful finally give Ewing and Jackson their props.

2. Little People		Flutie gets cut, Muggsy goes on injured list and Lil' Kim becomes latest rap star linked to a shootout. Has anybody seen Emmanuel Lewis lately?


1. Duke men's hoops		As any college kid will confirm, you can't survive very long without Booze.
