Randy Blaukat
Hometown: Lamar, MO
DOB: 11/24/1961
Occupation: Professional Bass Angler
Background: Randy's parents got him into fishing when he was in grade school and the family fished Table Rock Lake, Missouri. Randy became interested in the sport and started fishing in the streams and creeks around Joplin, Missouri. His dad, Kirk, and good friend Jack Thompson, were the two people that Randy has to thank for being where he is today.
To prepare for the Great Outdoor Games, Randy focuses on his techniques and consistency. The thing that gives him his competitive edge is his mental attitude and his ability to visualize success. Playing it out in his mind really helps him focus and concentrate on the competition. He says that the winner of this event will have to fish around vegetation, be in the right state of mind, and have the confidence to get the "key" fish in the boat.
