Background: Goza got started in archery at a very young age. His father Terry and brother Larry heavily influenced his involvement in the sport, as was the Caudle Family. As a boy, Goza would practice in the backyard, making targets and shooting at a barn. Jackie Caudle and his son Shannon urged Goza into local tournaments, and from there he made it to regional and national tournaments. He now attends about 12 competitions a year.
Records Held: Youngest person ever to win a Buckmasters Archery Event (16 years old); won the IBO National Championship as a 12-year-old, earning a four-year college scholarship
Competitive History: In 1999, ranked 22nd in the ASA and 2nd in the Buckmasters
Strengths: Cool under pressure; does not got intimidated in big events
Weaknesses: Unable to judge yardage as well as some of the other competitors
Personal Bests: Won the Buckmaster's in 1996 against people twice his age; placed second in the World Championships at age 13 in the IBO Tournament
