Background: Stewart was introduced to lumberjack sports by his father. He spent a lot of his time learning and increasing his skills as a youngster, performing in lumberjack shows during the summer months. He has performed in festivals at Sea World, Euro Disney, fairs in Australia, New Zealand, and all over the United States and Canada. In 1981 Stewart appeared on the television show "That's Incredible" as the World's Youngest Lumberjack.

Competitive History: Six-time 100 feet Speed Climbing World Champion; 1999, beat the number-two-ranked log roller in the World, Darren Hudson, from Nova Scotia for the Canadian Championship Title; 1997, All-Around Title Holder at the World Championship Timber Carnival in Albany, Oregon; finished in the top two at the Ironjack Series three separate times
