Motorola Showdown at Sherwood -- Hole 5

ABC Sports Online

Woods and Duval tied the fifth hole, keeping the competition all even.

Both golfers blasted their first shots over 300 yards to begin the par-4, 457-yard Hole 5.

Woods began the downhill hole with a 3-wood, easily finding the fairway with a 310-yard shot. Duval then matched him by knocking his ball about 300 yards onto the fairway with a 3-wood as well.

Duval then used a pitching wedge from 151 yards away and his ball landed stiff on the green about 15-feet from the pin. Tiger's second shot, 144 yards away, landed yards beyond the green with the wind at his back.

After his missed the green, Tiger rebounded by chipping his third shot into the breeze only inches from the hole, receiving polite applause. Duval then conceded the fourth shot to Woods.

The former Georgia Tech star missed his birdie putt by inches, then made par off a 3-foot putt.
