PORTLAND, Maine (Ticker) -- Quincy Foster's RBI single in the
bottom of the ninth inning lifted the Portland Sea Dogs past the
Binghamton Mets, 4-3. Foster drove home pinch-hitter Abraham
Nunez, who drew a walk to leadoff the inning. Todd Betts, who
has knocked in a run in seven consecutive games, went 2-for-4
with a pair of RBI singles for Portland. Pablo Ozuna went
1-for-3 to extend his hitting streak to 11 games for the Sea
Dogs, who have alternated wins and losses over the last seven
contests. Ty Wigginton launched a solo homer to give Binghamton
a 3-2 lead in the top of the eighth inning and Juan LeBron had a
pair of hits for the Mets, who scored 14 runs on Sunday. Ryan
Henderson (2-2) allowed one hit and a run in two innings for the
win. Juan Cerros (1-1) gave up one run and a hit while retiring
just one batter to take the loss.
