RECAP
ERIE, Pennsylvania (Ticker) -- Justin Baughman scored the
winning run on an error in the ninth inning to give the Erie
SeaWolves a 4-3 victory over the Reading Phillies in the first
game of a doubleheader. Baughman, who had two hits and three
stolen bases, singled in the bottom of the ninth and stole
second before coming home on an error by Reading second baseman
Brian Harris. Derick Urquhart drove in two runs with a double
and Shawn Wooten had an RBI for Erie, which has won three of its
last five. Jeremy Callier (2-1) picked up the win in 1 1/3
innings of three-hit relief during which he allowed two runs.
Carmine Cappuccio knotted up the game in the top of the seventh
with a two-run homer and Gary Burnham had an RBI for Reading,
which has lost three of its last five. Thomas Jacquez (0-3)
suffered the loss, giving up one unearned run and one hit in 2/3
inning.
