ERIE, Pennsylvania (Ticker) -- Gary Burnham and Carmine
Cappuccio each had three RBI to power the Reading Phillies past
the Erie SeaWolves, 10-6, in the second game of a doubleheader.
Burnham had a two-run single in the first inning and drove in a
run on a single in the fifth. Cappuccio also had a two-run
single in the first and had a sacrifice fly as part of a
five-run seventh. Jason Knupfer had two hits and two RBI for
Reading, which has won five of its last eight. Brandon Duckworth
(1-3) earned the win with five innings of six-hit ball during
which he allowed four runs. Pete Zamora picked up his first save
of the season. Justin Baughman had an RBI single, a triple and a
stolen base, his fourth in the doubleheader, and Jason Huisman
had two hits and an RBI for Erie, which has lost three of its
last five games. Steve Green (3-3) suffered the loss, giving up
five runs and six hits in four innings.
