OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- The University of Arizona regained its No. 1 status in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 poll after a solid weekend of victories against No. 3 Washington and No. 1 UCLA. The 37-3 Wildcats finessed their opponents with a 3-0 shutout against Washington and 3-0 and 5-1 wins over UCLA. They also lead the Pac-10 Conference at 6-0.

Florida and Louisiana-Lafayette join the Top 25 ranks at No. 21 and tie for No. 22 respectively. The Gators captured wins over in-state rival No. 22 South Florida and No. 8 Georgia while the Ragin' Cajuns nabbed six Sun Belt Conference wins.

The top 10 teams remained the same this week with Washington jumping into No. 3 and California moving up to No. 5. Oklahoma State dropped from No. 15 to 18 along with Iowa from No. 21 to 25.

The ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 poll is voted on by NCAA Division I coaches representing 15 different ASA regions and 12 different collegiate conferences. The poll is also voted on by selected softball media members. Records are as of April 7. First-place votes are in parentheses.
