Why did Steve Spurrier quit a dream job that paid $2.2 million per year if he didn't already have another job lined up?

Steve Spurrier
"In the NFL, they can afford Gatorade, instead of water."
A. He really is the most arrogant man in the world.

B. Bob Stoops had Tony Soprano threaten to kidnap Spurrier's most beloved possession -- his mirror -- if he didn't quit.

C. He's really a sensitive man, and all that criticism of other college coaches -- that he runs up the score, that he's an annoying jerk -- was just too much to take.

D. He's conducting a test to see how long it would take for Daniel Snyder to call. Five seconds? 10? 15 at the most?

E. He always wanted to work in the NFL, where you can get fired even after making the playoffs.

F. He already does have another job lined up -- for more money, and for an ownership share.
