What was the NHL thinking when it fined Pat Quinn and the Toronto Maple Leafs for criticizing fellow GMs and saying "there's going to be a lockout"?

	No fine is going to cause Pat Quinn to hold his tongue.

A. "That damn Quinn let our secret out. Nobody would've seen a lockout coming with so many responsibly run teams."

B. "We would have fined the Rangers, but they were out of money after overspending for Bobby Holik."

C. "We're just following the rules from Bud Selig's handbook on how to run a league into the ground."

D. They figured the Leafs would have some extra cash left over from not re-signing CuJo.

E. "Lockout? Geez, we better think of something to start building a slush fund."

F. "And tell Quinn, this time no loonies."
