In 2025, ESPN Citizenship advanced its vision by delivering impact at the intersection
of community, culture and business through the power of sports to drive meaningful
outcomes in the places where we live, work and play. Across the year, ESPN activated
its platforms, talent and partnerships to expand access to youth sports, accelerate
cancer research through the V Foundation and deepen hometown engagement
throughout our five core markets.
 2025 Highlights
 at a Glance
V Week delivered one of the most impactful campaigns to date, combining cross-platform storytelling,
editorial integrations and strategic partnerships to drive awareness and fundraising for the V Foundation.
The campaign generated more than $14.5 million for cancer research, representing a 10.7% increase
year-over-year and contributing to more than $278.6 million raised overall through ESPN’s long-standing
partnership with the V Foundation.
Take Back Sports launched as ESPN and Disney’s signature youth sports initiative, debuting at the College
Football Playoff National Championship and scaling nationally through athlete ambassadors, charitable
grants, league activations and employee engagement. Championship stages and cultural tentpoles,
including the NHL Stadium Series, Special Olympics World Winter Games and The College Football Playoff,
became powerful platforms to advance storytelling, as well as community and business impact.
Across ESPN’s home markets, employees showed up through service, disaster relief, grantmaking and
in-kind support, reinforcing ESPN’s role as both a trusted brand and a committed community partner.
In total, Corporate Citizenship efforts helped reach nearly one million youth through youth sports
programming, while integrating purpose-driven storytelling throughout hundreds of linear, digital, audio and
social moments.
