BOWIE, Maryland (Ticker) -- Darnell McDonald tripled and knocked
in two runs and Carlos Casimiro went 3-for-4 to lead the Bowie
Baysox to a 7-5 victory over the Altoona Curve. McDonald walked
and scored in the first and stroked a two-run triple in the
fourth, giving Bowie a 4-2 lead. Casimiro singled in the second
and fourth innings and hit an RBI double in the eighth, putting
the Baysox ahead, 6-2. Juan Guzman (1-1) allowed two runs in 5
2/3 innings to get the win. Juan Aracena recorded the final out
to notch his fifth save for Bowie, which earned a split of the
four-game series. Geraldo Padua (1-4) gave up five runs -- four
earned -- in four innings to take the loss. Darren Burton
collected three hits, including a three-run homer in the ninth,
for Altoona, which has lost four of six.
