RECAP
YANTIC, Connecticut (Ticker) -- Juan Thomas singled home the
go-ahead run in the eighth inning as the New Haven Ravens
rallied for three runs to defeat the Norwich Navigators, 8-6.
Thomas had the only RBI of the inning as New Haven took
advantage of two errors to score three unearned runs. Jake
Meyer (1-0) got the win, allowing no runs and one hit over 1 1/3
innings of relief and Kevin Gryboski tossed a perfect ninth to
earn his sixth save of the season. Adrian Myers had three
doubles for the Ravens, who have won three straight games.
Oswaldo Mairena (0-2) took the loss, giving up three runs --
none earned -- and two hits in 1 1/3 innings of relief. Scott
Seabol had three hits and two RBI for Norwich, which has lost
four of its last five.
