PORTLAND, Maine (Ticker) -- Marc Lewis hit a three-run homer to
lead the Trenton Thunder past the Portland Sea Dogs, 7-5.
Lewis' fifth-inning shot was his first of the season and gave
Trenton a 6-2 lead. Josh Garrett (1-0) picked up the win,
allowing three runs and eight hits in 5 2/3 innings. Dario
Perez tossed a scoreless ninth to earn his first save. Rontrez
Johnson went 4-for-5 and Jess Graham drove home two runs for the
Thunder, who have won three of their last four games. Nate Bump
(0-2) took the loss, surrendering seven runs and 12 hits over
six innings. Todd Betts had three hits and four RBI for
Portland, which has lost five of its last eight.
