1988: Terrell ends Canes' streak

After No. 1 Miami cut the Fighting Irish's lead to 31-30 on Andre Brown's 11-yard touchdown catch with 45 seconds left in the game dubbed "Catholics versus Convicts," Hurricanes coach Jimmy Johnson decided to go for two points and a victory. But Irish free safety Pat Terrell knocked down Steve Walsh's wobbly pass to Leonard Conley, ending Miami's 36-game regular-season win streak.
