1993: Ward to Dunn silences the Swamp

Florida State senior quarterback Charlie Ward roomed with freshman tailback Warrick Dunn, and according to coach Bobby Bowden, they didn't say two words to each other. In the din of the Swamp, however, Ward and Dunn bellowed. Late in the fourth quarter, No. 1 Florida State (10-1) clung to a 27-21 lead over the Gators. On third-and-10 from their own 21, with the Swamp jet-engine loud, Ward threw a swing pass to Dunn that turned into a 79-yard touchdown. The Noles won 33-21. -- Maisel
