1997: Griese to Tuman keeps UM perfect

The Wolverines couldn't contain Iowa kick returner Tim Dwight and trailed 21-7 at the half. But quarterback Brian Griese rallied the Wolverines in the second half, throwing for a touchdown and running for another to tie the score at 21. After Dwight's 72-yard kickoff return set up Iowa's go-ahead field goal, Griese threw a 2-yard touchdown to tight end Jerame Tuman with 2 minutes, 55 seconds left for a 28-24 victory. The Wolverines finished 12-0 and were ranked No. 1 in the final AP poll. -- Schlabach
