How you beat Joseph
How you beat Lalime
You can beat him with volume -- loads of shots to go along with crashing the net. Force him to make the unbelievable save every shift to tire him out because the Leafs give up far too many great scoring chances. He has a habit of leaning toward his left when you are coming down the right wing, leaving the far post vulnerable. You can beat him with quick puck movement side to side and expose the spot between his legs because he is a butterfly goalie who gets set in his stance with his feet planted. A right-handed shot has had success going high to the glove on the short side.
How Joseph beats you
How Lalime beats you
He beats you with his charisma and leadership in the net. He has great quickness with his feet and hand-eye coordination. He makes dramatic, momentum-gaining saves that he has no business making, causing you to shake your head in disbelief. He is one of the NHL's best goalies at making second saves off rebounds. He can beat you with underrated reflexes, quick legs to each post, and a big presence in the net.
