YANTIC, Connecticut (Ticker) -- Adrian Meyers hit a two-run single in the top of the eighth inning as the New Haven Ravens held off the Norwich Navigators, 6-5, to earn a split of a doubleheader. Meyers snapped a 4-4 deadlock after Juan Thomas had tied the game with a two-out RBI base hit in the seventh inning. Thomas, who went 2-for-3, also had a run-scoring single in the first inning and lifted a sacrifice fly in the third for New Haven. Jermaine Clark went 4-for-4 with three runs scored for the Ravens, who evened their record at 12-12. Scott Seabol delivered an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning and Paul Ottavinia, who had the game-winning hit in the first game, knocked in three runs for Norwich. Justin Kaye (1-1) retired all six batters he faced to pick up the win and Jake Meyer allowed two hits and one run but hung on for his first save. Joe Lisio (0-1) gave up two hits and two runs -- one earned -- in one inning of relief to take the loss for the Navigators, which won opening game, 4-3.
