HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania (Ticker) -- Brad Wilkerson hit a
three-run homer and Henry Mateo knocked in a pair of runs as the
Harrisburg Senators topped the Binghamton Mets, 6-1. Wilkerson
capped a five-run seventh inning with his second homer of the
season. Mateo drew a bases-loaded walk in the fifth inning and
added an RBI single in the seventh for Harrisburg, which snapped
a three-game losing streak. Rod Stevenson (1-1) allowed a run
and two hits in two innings to post the win. Ty Wigginton hit a
solo home run in the seventh inning for Binghamton, which has
alternated wins and losses since May 2. Pete Della Ratta (1-2)
surrendered three runs, one hit and two walks while retiring
just one batter to take the loss.
