HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania (Ticker) -- Ty Wigginton hit a pair of
home runs and Mike Kinkade added two RBI as the Binghamton Mets
topped the Harrisburg Senators, 9-5. Wigginton capped a six-run
third inning with a solo homer and he added a two-run shot in
the eighth. Kinkade, who drew three walks, singled home a pair
of runs in the third inning for Binghamton, which improved to
18-10. Mo Bruce hit a solo home run and Alex Escobar produced an
RBI single for the Mets. J.D. Arteaga (3-0) allowed just four
hits over four scoreless innings to notch the win. Brad
Wilkerson and Josh Reding both singled home a run for
Harrisburg, which has lost four of its last five contests. Jake
Chapman (1-1) surrendered six runs and six hits in two innings
to suffer the defeat.
