RECAP
AKRON, Ohio (Ticker) -- Tim Drew pitched seven strong innings
and Scott Pratt knocked in a pair of runs as the Akron Aeros
beat the Portland Sea Dogs, 6-4. Drew (3-2) allowed just two
runs, five hits and a walk to pick up the win and Cam Cairncross
struck out Matt Erickson with two runners on base to notch his
second save. Cairncross has not allowed a run in his last 12
outings, spanning 10 innings. Pratt, who went 2-for-3, delivered
a two-run single in the fifth inning. Ryan Jones, who hit an RBI
single in the first inning, and Chris Coste each collected three
hits for Akron, which won for the third time in its last four
games. John Pachot hit a pair of RBI singles for Portland, which
was outhit, 14-10. Pablo Ozuna went 2-for-5 with an RBI double
in the third inning to extend his hitting streak to 13 games for
the Sea Dogs. Ryan Henderson (2-3) surrendered four runs and
seven hits over two innings to take the loss.
