Short, who singled home two runs in the third inning, doubled home what proved to be the game-winning runs with two outs in the ninth inning. Juan Aracena (3-1) pitched two scoreless innings of relief to earn the win. Luis Matos drove in two runs with a third-inning double for Bowie, which has won four of its last six games. Joe Lisio (0-2) took the loss, allowing two runs and two hits over one inning. Erick Almonte hit a three-run homer in the sixth inning to tie the game at 4-4 for Norwich, which had its three-game winning streak snapped.
