ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico (Ticker) -- John Cotton went 3-for-4
with two RBI to lead the Colorado Springs Sky Sox to a 6-3
victory over the Albuquerque Dukes. Cotton hit an RBI single
during a four-run fourth inning and added a solo homer in the
sixth. Phil Hiatt went 3-for-4 with an RBI double for Colorado
Springs, which won for just the second time in six games. Doug
Linton (1-3) allowed three runs and nine hits over 6 1/3 innings
to pick up the win and David Lee retired the only two batters he
faced to notch his first save. Chris Prieto led off the bottom
of the first inning with a homer and Paul LoDuca went 3-for-4
with two RBI for Albuquerque, which lost for just the second
time in seven games. Jamie Arnold (4-2) surrendered six runs and
10 hits in seven innings to take the loss.
